Ah Loy Thai @ Shaw Tower

We decided to have thai food. This is one place that i will highly recommend, it is cheap and good. Especially the tea, it really have the favour of thailand but without the extreme sweetness of it ( In thailand, the way they make it, is to have 5 table spoon of sugar and then a good serving condensed milk, lastly pour in hot brewed tea and evapourated milk at the same time, into a glass that is to my opinion 2 shot glass. Afterwhich it is poured into a big plastic cup with ice filled to the brim of the cup. It is very sweet but fragrant, after all the ice melts that is when it is the right time to have it  . It is th time when kiasu singaporeans will not ask for without ice.). Enough of thailand back to our main subjust, don worry i will be going there in 2 weeks time haha.

Now to food.
Tom Yam – Spicy but really nice and a very generous serving of seafood.
Fried Pineapple Rice/ Path Thai/ Fried Glass Noodles – Strong fish sause smell but it taste really really nice. Like the street food you have in bangkok.
Kangkong – No need to introduce just order !
Mango fried chicken – Cripy chicken pieces deep fried and later stired fried with some thai chilli and mango slices. 2 thumbs up.

Guess what total bill was only S$22 for 2 pax really value for money

My uncle bring me to your restaurant, never expect the food is so nice. I like the pandant chicken, this is the best. Which other thai restaurant can’t figh….yummy! Overall..the food is good, but there is one thing need to improve. The menu..the words to small, and customer have to walk to the counter to submit the menu and make payment. Not very convenient….i like the tapiocal dessert but not everytime have. By the way, keep it up!

I agree with Alicia that the words on the menu are too small. i find it very inconvenient to place orders and pay before the food comes. Also would like to hightlight about the sambal kangkong. When this dish is served, you notice it has more stalks than leaves and very oily. They must be pre cut and the stalks are too long.
